The humble bus token, which dates back to the 1920s, was no longer accepted on Metro Transit buses after Sept. 1, 2005. The tokens, about the size of a dime, had a “M” in the middle and “Minneapolis St. Ry. Co.” printed along the perimeter, a reference to the street car company that provided the main mode of city travel during the first half of the last century. The flip side said it was good for one fare. Handmade in U.S.A. Approx 1/2" in diameter Silver backing Shipped in velvet gift box
