Charleston Token Cufflinks

The Rusted Key

These old tokens, from the 1940s and 1950s, feature a distinctive C cut-out in the center. One side reads "Charleston Transit Co"; the other "Good for One Fare".

The Charleston Transit Co. was a privately owned bus company that ceased serving the city of Charleston following a worker's strike.
